October Webinar: Tethered Cord 101

October 21 @ 8:00 pm9:00 pm

Spinal cord tethering affects children and adults in ways that many families don’t fully understand until they’re facing a diagnosis. Jointly hosted by Weill Cornell Medicine and the Tethered Cord Support Alliance, this educational webinar will provide essential information about tethered cord syndrome from both medical and patient support perspectives.

Dr. Jeffrey Greenfield, a leading pediatric neurosurgeon at Weill Cornell Medicine, will discuss what tethered cord syndrome is, how it’s diagnosed, and current treatment approaches. He will explain the symptoms that may indicate tethered cord, when surgery might be recommended, and what families can expect throughout the care process. The Tethered Cord Support Alliance will also share valuable resources and support information for patients and families navigating this condition.

Whether you’re a parent concerned about symptoms in your child, an adult experiencing potential signs of tethered cord, supporting a loved one with this condition, or simply want to learn more about spinal health, this collaborative webinar will provide expert medical insights alongside practical support resources.
